Happy Lunar New Year in Singapore
Happy Lunar New Year, this is RYOTA.
In Singapore, where I live, people celebrate the Lunar New Year with family gatherings, and the CEO gives out New Year's gifts to their employees. I also received HongPao just now lol
In Japan, we do not have a culture of celebrating Lunar New Year, but this year, for the first time, I went to visit Pagoda on the first day of Lunar New Year.
While the monk prayed for me, I chanted my dreams and goals in my mind.
It was a great time for me to clear my mind.
My grandmother is a Buddhist, so we used to pray to our ancestors together when I was a child.
When I smell the incense, memories of those days come back to me and I always feel nostalgic.
Since I am living abroad, I would like to continue to cherish the time I spend with my grandmother to properly understand different cultures.
